I understand that commenters have been having some trouble getting their comments published. I've been having occasional difficulty getting my own comments published (on my own blog). I'm researching the issue; I suspect that it's got something to do with security setups or cookies or some other thing that I have little knowledge of.
If you try to publish a comment, and you get a "Failed to publish, try again later" message, by all means, do try again later. Unfortunately, in one or two cases, I've wound up being unable to publish a comment on a post no matter how long I wait.
I appreciate your diligence and patience.

DeleteBack in the Seventies I attended UCSD and lived in Del Mar just up the coast. One day a friend and I decided to, just for the heck of it, walk up to where I lived along the beach. So we made our way down the bluffs and headed north.
DeleteAfter a few minutes my friend asked "Isn't Black's Beach somewhere around here?" Black's was, at the time, notorious for being the only legal nude beach in CA. I pondered as I scanned the way ahead and then said "Um... now that you mention it, yeah..." as we walked into the very spot.
And believe me, the sort of people who hang out at a nude beach are exactly the sort of people you do not want to see naked.
Ask any cop, the people who take their clothes off in public are the people you do not want to see nekkid.
DeleteI was at a topless beach in Mombasa Kenya, full of Germans.
For every hottue, there were a thousand who....weren't. No exaggeration, there was one attractive woman the whole time.
I'll never forget cellulite woman. She was out every day for the week or so I was there and did not tan a bit.
When it happens I usually just hit publish again and it works.
ReplyDeleteA couple times it took more than one attempt, once it didn't work no matter how many time I tried so I left the comment there, used another tab for a while, went back a few minutes later and it worked.
I do appreciate it that you make the attempt. I enjoy everybody's comments.
