Meghan Markle actually thought she had a shot at becoming a U.S. senator: "True scale of Meghan and Harry’s US political plans revealed — from request for Biden Oval Office meeting to eyeing Senate seat".
It would have been strange, and undoubtedly she would have become one of those politicians known as much for her personal obnoxiousness as for her knee-jerk leftism; however, considering the state of the senate these days, I don't believe she would have moved the needle very much one way or the other when it comes to assessing the institution's general intellectual level. One more nincompoop - especially from California, and most particularly as a replacement for Kamala Harris - probably wouldn't merit much notice, save for the personal gossip component.
Bloody hell.

Intellectually speaking, Megan would fit right in with other members of the US Senate ... ... including a number of Republicans.

Harry engineered their return to the UK in order to get his kids back in the kingdom, and that he will shortly initiate divorce proceedings against Meghan. Let her fight the royals in a British divorce court, heh.
