The Democrats' new coat of arms
Supplied by the very creative JeffS, based on my earlier heraldic description, and improved with V's hammer and sickle.
Maybe I'm just dense, but what is the bird? Pigeon? Btw, there needs to be a star. And maybe books; Mao's little black book, Bill Ayers' playback, and Mein Kampf.
Deborah, I included the cuckoo bird, not only for the connotation of craziness, but also because the cuckoo is what's known as a brood parasite: they will substitute their own eggs for the eggs of other birds, thus letting their progeny feed on someone else's dime.
