Mind-Blowing Footage Shows Flash Floods Taking Over Streets in Chile After Heavy Rains
This video is from the Las Condes neighborhood, where Mrs. Paco's family used to live.
I used to see this kind of thing in Arizona fairly frequently.

That no one died is a major miracle. Kudos to the first responders as well!
ReplyDeleteThere was a place in the main drag out of the town where I went to high school where you didn’t want to be when it rained. Every couple of years, somebody would try to get across and get washed into the gulley.
ReplyDeleteIn the same way mobile home parks attract tornadoes, flash floods seem to attract dare-devil drivers. When we lived in Arizona, we'd see local news stories all the time about people who tried to drive across a street awash in turbulent water, and the firemen would have to go out there and get them out of their vehicles, at great (and unnecessary) risk to themselves.
