Friday Happy Feet

A short but furious storm blew through Northern Virginia Wednesday night leaving more than 200,000 people (including yours, truly) without power. It has now been restored (unexpectedly early), which means that we can lindy-hop into the week-end courtesy of Harry "The Hipster" Gibson and his rollicking novelty tune (and boogie-woogie classic), "4-F Ferdinand", from 1944.

Nice video! I wish work didn't have bandwidth issues......I'd play that for the office. Just because.

Glad to hear that you didn't get tornadoed so's you'd notice.

Naw, not so's you'd notice. Lighting did hit a tree down the street, though - split the thing in two, and each half fell on a power line.

Heh. Obviously the powers that be had a 50/50 chance of missing your particular power line with an intact tree and so decided to rectify that situation.

Or were you just testing out the PACO laser system with the Tree-B-Gone feature?

No, no, NO! I never test my products in my own neighborhood!
