Obama To Receive Laurel Crown in Mock Greek Temple

Allahpundit at Hot Air has the best take on this: "Too staid for my tastes. What about a giant plaster Lincoln head descending from the sky with Obama inside, and once it hits the stage he breaks through out of the top hat like the Hulk?"

I foresee conflict in the temple between Obama and Hillary's diehard supporters.

Update: Big Lizards has a different - and very shrewd - take on the staging.

Okay. Is Hillary supposed to be the Greek guy in the skirt, or is that Obama? Because I can't see him being that energetic with a sword. Talk them to death, sure, but swinging and bashing? Uh uh. She, on the other hand...

Holy shit, what an ego this mook has. Will there be a choir singing hosannas?

A real geek tragedy in a mock Greek temple, mayhaps?

I can't leave a comment at Big Lizards so I'll leave it here; I think he's on the right track with the White House. I found this:

If you look beyond the columns in front of the red carpet (because I couldn't find a picture without them) and then go look at Hot Air's video from See Swann, Obama's people are reproducing the entrance hall of the White House.

It's the object of Obama's lust after all, and he doesn't seem truly interested enough in history to care about posing for his speech in the place MLK stood.

The need to put on such a facade is telling, imho. Am I the only one who sees a fancy stage in a football stadium? In print & on video, however, the viewer will simply see The Great & Powerful Barry in all his presidential glory.

Pay no attention to the little men behind the curtain.

Makes me sick.
