Freedom Is Slavery

And war is peace and up is down. A newspaper headline in the Washington Times today perfectly captures the Orwellian spirit of the age: “Obama Pleads for Fiscal Responsibility.” How does one (or rather, The One) plan to square this call for belt-tightening with the pork-stuffed stimulus bill? Or, for that matter, with the earmark-laden omnibus spending bill?

Somewhere, the robber barons of old are spinning in their graves, bitterly reproaching themselves for not thinking up democracy and legislative government on their own. How paltry their thieving escapades seem in retrospect, compared to the wholesale looting being carried out by our elected representatives.

  1. He doesn't plan on squaring it. It's just a show he puts on telling people what they want to hear, that's all. He's gotten away with it to preent and it won't change until the press starts holding him to account.

Have you seen anything yet where his actions have actually matched his mouth?

    Frankly, no.

  3. From this, we can safely tell that we can tell when Obama is lying: his lips are moving.

  5. Be careful about what you wish for out there, be careful.

I don't worry about the cancellation of elections as much as election nullification. The Minnesota and Ohio models are probably the ghost of Christmas future.

You have a captive Justice Department, a cowering FBI, state election commissions that are in control of the Democrats and a press that has ceased to function in historical terms-what's not to like.

Coming soon-the green shirts of the American Protective League.
