Hey, A Stimulus Plan Worked for Nazi Germany

A rather curious take by the NYT, courtesy of Exurban League.

From the NYT article

"The economic benefits of this vast works program never flowed to most workers, because fascism doesn’t look kindly on collective bargaining."

Rubbish. 'Collective bargaining' is in fact the essence and very definition of F/fascism.

Mussolini's movement was strongest in the trade unions, as also probably was Nazism in Germany (Despite all the Weimar 'socialist' posturing, Nazism spread quickly once it got power. The mass of those 'socialist workers' quickly got on board, just like all the western Stalinists who switched sides in a second as Orwell pointed out in '1984').

What the trendy Left tries to hide is that once you wake the dragon of crude 'mass street action' politics it always leads to thuggery and fascism.

Well, is the NYT suggesting the US of A should finance that debt with the same methods as Nazi Germany????
