The kindergarten teachers who now rule the world know the solution: the South must share some of its lunch with the North who has none, then they will be fwends again., huggie huggie. If only we were all born yesterday...
And when Reuters says that the North's economy grew faster at first - Yes Reuters kiddies (call yourself journalists) it's known as The Soviet Model of economic development (also followed by China at first) - characterised by rapid growth and modernisation, followed by terminal decline.
bruce. Not with the current SK government. They ain't sharing barely shit. The Sunshine Policy of the last two (Leftist) Prez's almost dead in the water ('cept the Chaebol are still making a bit of easy money in Kaesong.
But yes, Mr Paco, the Dear Leader looks like he's on death's door these days.

Disclaimer: you know I live in SK, right? Hence I don't have such a big bumrush for the let's-just-take-'em-out idea.
bingbing, my SK experience is pretty limited (a couple of exercises there, plus a lot of nation studies), but I quite understand your reluctance. Any combat operations on the Korean peninsula would be ugly. At the very least.
The Norks know this, and play it up. But they might be overplaying their hands this time, in spite of Obama's blind spot. Last I heard, Japan isn't in the mood for more NoKo crap. Capabilities are a different matter, of course.
