D-Day

Ace of Spades has a great tribute, including a video of Ronald Reagan's speech.

By the way, having once again heard Reagan's voice in this wonderful speech, I doubt that I shall ever again be able to hear Obama's voice on television without instantly hitting the mute button on the remote.

"Mute button"! I go for channel select.

To hear Gordon Brown and Obama today you would think that they were fighting for transnationalism and against AGW.

I have enough trouble reading transcripts of The Won's speeches, the mute button is minimal self defense.

I started avoiding the sound of The Bam's voice a long time ago. You can only take so much of that smarmy sweet talk before the blood sugars rise to dangerous levels.

I'm with you, Retread. Listen to Obama? Oh, Lord, NO!

i also go for "channel select". hearing his voice is to me fingernails on a blackboard, and i cannot stand looking at his smug face as he speaks... he looks as if he is watching a tennis match with his head going side to side
