O Canada!

Exurban League has an interesting post on the Canadians at Juno Beach on D-Day (I learn something new every day).

Yes, the Canadians made a HUGE contribution to World War II, almost out of proportion to their population.

Working with Canadian troops was always a pleasure for me; it was a genuine loss for the world when Trudeau gutted the Canadian armed forces.

Couple of my Mess friends were platoon commanders in the Essex Scottish, from D-Day +2 to May 45. The survival rate for their peer group was somewhere under 25%.

Cheers
