The World Turned Upside Down

President Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize.

Where's my Pulitzer for the Detective Paco stories?

Update: I've been tied up with mere regular work for two days, but I will be releasing the secret transcript of the Nobel Peace Prize Committee's deliberations sometime tonight (I hope).

  2. Damn you sir! With using the phrase The World Turned Upside Down, you beat me by nine minutes.

However, I do take some solace in the fact that I, at least, published the lyrics.

  3. I think he deserves it, if only for the time he flew up into space and deflected the giant asteroid that was about to hit the Earth.

  5. I read a comment at the Times online that said.

One American democrat leader (Al Gore) gets a Nobel Prize for fighting against having more hot air, whilst the latest democrat leader gets it for producing alot of hot air.

    How confusing

    That about sums it up....

  7. Boy oh boy. America snaps up the Peace Prizes like candy. We are obviously the most peaceful nation in the world. What are these other countries always whining about???

  8. Didn't I say in the Paco Library that we should go straight to Rule 5 Saturday? We could have avoided all of this.

Paco: Giving you a prize for literature would start to reel them back into the sanity camp, a bridge they are not willing to cross anytime soon I'm thnking. I don't think the Che Diaries helped you much.:)

  9. And then he added.

The CBO just determined that ObamaCare would reduce the deficit.

How about the Nobel Prize for Economics for that one?

  10. I thought you actually had to do something to get the Nobel Peace Prize. You know, make a schlockumentary like Al Gore, or wear a pistol to the UN Assembly like Yasser Arafat, or something.

  11. Is it true that the Nobel went to Iranian President Ahmajinedad for Advances in Human Rights?

Dear Paco, if only you wore a beret, smoked a pipe (or made one into a bomb), and created characters that stood for real justice and values....

  12. Rebecca - according to Meredith Jessup at Townhall.com, So correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this essentially mean Obama received this award for making some good speeches? Sure nothing he says has actually been accomplished, but it all sounds good!

  13. I think a nobel grand slam is a distinct possibility, even probability.

Economics......just consider what He has done with the US economy.
Physics....He told us He would stop the seas rising! That's, like, aaah, fiziks, dude.
    Chemistry...He will abolish carbon!! Coooool!
Literature...TWO books, with His name on the cover!
