Dodd to Retire
Meh. Everybody knows it by now. But I love Stacy McCain’s take: “Things just haven’t been the same for Dodd since Ted Kennedy died. An open-faced ‘waitress sandwich’ isn’t quite as much fun.”

Good grief, his speech sounded like a cross between Washington's Farewell Address, without the foreign entanglements, and MacArthur at West Point.
"And like the old senator in that ballad, I now close my political career and just fade away, an old senator who tried to do his duty as the DNC gave him the sight and slush funds to see that duty."
TOMcC is right: Dodd is not going away. We're going to suffer his sleazy fingerprints on Washington for years to come, unless we can somehow clean out Congress and their army of thieves.
