More Better Security

The Transportation Security Administration finally gets its butt in gear, detains ... Michael Yon.

More from American Power.

  1. To paraphrase what I said at Bob's Bites (http://robertd.wordpress.com):

If you’re not on a watch list - not on a no-fly list - not of 'Middle Eastern appearance' - if you’re a 50 year old nun who refuses to remove your sensible stockings and crucifix - and then answer that you’re a bride of Christ - you’re gonna be in REAL trouble.

  2. It'll take an executive order for me to fly hereafter. With the TSA in charge of airport security, we are so screwed.

  3. It'll take more than an executive order to get me to fly while this crowd's in charge. I'll just opt for plan B: quit, sell my house, buy a small RV and move out to the Arizona desert with the missus, where we can dine on rattlesnake washed down with prickly-pear tea.

  5. You really like those bookcases, don't you, Yojimbo? I'll try to remember to bequeath them to you in my will.

  6. Keep in mind this is Sea-Tac, the same airport that confined a planeload of returning troops to an empty hangar...

  7. Richard makes a very good point about Sea-Tac. Knowing Seattle as one of the very bluest of blue cities, I wondered if maybe someone recognized Michael Yon and decided to make things difficult. I mean, if you were screening somebody for terrorism, why on earth would you ask them how much they make at their job?

  8. Unbelievable. I wanted the next big spendathon in Vegas. Girl wants it in Europe. Europe wins.

Treating Yon like that is a real shame. He does fantastic work.

  9. PS Was wondering how tough it must be working where you work at these days, Mr paco...
