Happy Feet Friday

The legendary Fats Waller plays “Ain’t Misbehavin’”.

  1. Great great song and singer.

    "Ain't misbehavin',
I'm savin' my love for you"

But there was a lot of misbehaving going on it seems. I've always been very naive and only gradually woke up to how many of my favourite songs are about adultery (and worse).

For example I bought Cream's 'Disraeli Gears' when I was 15 and loved the song Outside Woman Blues. Only recently read the lyrics -

"Well you can't watch your wife and your outside woman too,
'Cause when you're out with your women your wife will be at home cooking and cleaning, buddy what you trying to do".

I'm older and wiser now. (I often used to mis-hear lyrics or just didn't grasp their meaning).
