Happy Feet Friday
Ella gives a fine performance of “Beale Street Blues” (and you’re right, that’s Nat King Cole who’s poking his nose in the door; the scene is from the movie St. Louis Blues).
I don't usually comment on these Happy Feet Fridays, but you should know I really enjoy these clips. They bring back memories of watching TV on Saturday afternoons at my grandmother's house (TV in the 50s was short on content, so I saw a LOT of rerun movies, even silent ones.
