Apparently Death was in the bath tub and couldn't come to the door
Or maybe down at the bowling alley or gambling in Atlantic City. In any event, the old boy wasn't there when Fidel came a-knockin'.
This old bastard will probably live to be 100, but the upside is, he won't know who he is or what Cuba is by then. The downside, of course, is that TPTB in Cuba will be able to trot him out for communist holidays.
By the time that vile old Commie murderer shuffles off this mortal coil Cuban culture will have been reduced to a disaster area and the Cuban people will be unable to recover from the damage he inflicted on them. Like the Russians, they will be deformed forever by their experience of Communist savagery.
Michael: You may be right. Cuba may be a basket case for years after Castro's demise (perhaps I should say the Castros' demise, since brother Raul is now in charge).

I wonder who they have lined up after Raul. I don't imagine the Castro family is going to let go of power voluntarily.
