O/T I know, but hope you are all standing up o'k with the heatwave over your way, and that the electricity is not turning out to be a problem, as in breaking news we have been told of thousands going without it.

Thanks for the concern, Merilyn! I live in a suburb of Los Angeles, where it I overheard someone say it reached 118 degrees yesterday. No rolling blackouts, but there were transformers that blew. Our own Richard McEnroe at Three Beers Later has pictures of the event. Of course, the transformers could just be the heat from the election cycle here...or it's global warming. Sure wish Gore would visit. We need the snow.

Al Gore is probably sitting in his pool Deborah! With plenty of cold drinks close by. Had a look at Richard's blog, WOW!

Merilyn, you're probably right. I'll bet that he's not alone in that pool...if you get my drift, and I know you do. (tee hee). Well, I wish he'd switch from umbrella drinks to hot toddies (the other hot toddies). My electric bill is setting all time records.

Richard sure does find the hot stories.
