Contraservatives

Correction: Conor F. writes to say that it wasn't he who went skinny-dipping with Bill Buckley - and he's right! It was Ross Douthat. Sorry, Conor.

Conor Friedersdorf – a self-styled conservative whose primary targets are conservatives, and whose main link to the conservative movement seems to be that he once went skinny-dipping with Bill Buckley – wants you to know that he’s a “senior editor” of Andrew Sullivan’s Daily Dish blog. William Jacobson of Legal Insurrection finds this surpassing, and hilariously, strange.

Contraservative? That's a new one on me. Is it a new term for Progressive? You know how they love to change things...names, I mean. First, they were the Democrat Party, then they were the Democratic Party. They were red, now they're blue. Contraservative is a more accurate description than Progressive.

It's a word I coined to describe RINOs in conservative clothing.
