Bill Gates' bladder problem

Hey, I mean, I guess that's what it's all about. Why else would you build a mansion with 8 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms?

It's not sour grapes, honest it's not, but I have to question how you could ever be comfortable in a home like that. To me, it would be like living in a museum, or a really upscale furniture store.

He needs that many bathrooms because you can't hide enough money in just one or two toilet tanks.

Gate's house(s) brings to mind the first time I saw one of the megamansions out here. I thought it was a resort. My friend had to point out that it was a home. I questioned how anyone would know if someone else was home. Do they have a sign-in/out board? Of course, the intercom system comes in handy. Can you hear me now? Anyone?

I knew a guy who worked as a farmer on about 120A and in a quarry and had 5 daughters and a wife and a small one bathroom house.

Then he hit oil [late 70s, Western IL] at around 800 feet using water drilling equipment that he rented and used himself. [Oil was being found in shallow wells all around him.]

He made about 1M the first year and build a very nice, about 4000 sq ft home with 7 bedrooms and 10 baths. When people asked him why, since the daughters ranged from about 12-19 and would be moving out at some point, he replied, "I've spent the past 20 years with from 1-5 women in a one bathroom house, I expect grandchildren relatively soon, and from now on, whenever I want to take a crap I don't want to have to wait."

Apparently it took some time before the Windows would work properly.

I think rich folk should have the right to build, and live in, whatever kind of house they want, but I agree that this kind of home doesn't sound too cozy. And just think of the carbon footprint!
