Paco, on a slightly related note: I don't trust polls, but they do make you think.
He sounds like a thoroughly unpleasant and foul mouthed individual but this is not always a bad thing in a crisis (see Kennett, Jeff, State of Victoria). It sounds as if Chicago is in a sufficiently bad state that this could be a good thing. But of course this assumes that he's prepared to go up against the traditional Democrat interests grounds such as teachers and public service unions. Am I being too sanguine here?

ReplyDeletecac: Too sanguine? Probably. There's a name for Democratic officeholders who stand up to public employee unions: ex-officeholders.
