"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Here you go, completely unbarned: http://pics.hellodaly.com/uploaded_images/CIMG0497-713385.JPG
ReplyDeleteCheers
Picked up a 1st edition Huxley 'Eyeless in Gaza' for 50c at local charity second hand store. But in terrible outside condition (been used as a doorstop), probably could get a hundred or so for it on ebay if I really tried...
ReplyDeleteCars, books, there are treasures out there.
The best find of all, the Portuguese warehouse of a few years ago. So many cars, not all in good condition, mostly European models but with a fair spread. http://www.intuh.net/barnfinds/afa5713fh.htm
ReplyDeleteJust to update, it appears that the Portuguese barn wasn't a find, it belongs to a car collector (of the buy, store, and forget type) who it appears finally got around to reviewing what was in his "barn". Actually it's a rather large warehouse rather than a barn as such. Still one hell of a collection, but a mix of common, somewhat uncommon, and rare models. All completely covered in dust, flat tyres, some with minor or major parts missing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, Ed!
