Tea-partier makes Morgan Freeman a fair offer.
Brilliant! (H/T: Stacy McCain)

"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Won't happen. Morgan Freeman is clearly not the person he projected to the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteHowever, he led to my discovery of Ali Akbar, who sounds like a guy with his head on straight. Anybody else think he looks like Sammy Davis Jr., btw?
Morgan Freeman is far, far from the screen persona we've all come to know.

Freeman will not take Ali up on his invitation because he doesn't really want to know what the tea party is about. He just wants to parrot what the media is saying about the tea party which will get his name in print.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time that I saw the video from the Dallas Tea Party. It is great.
Morgan Freeman's idiotic remark could (and has been) easily dismissed as just another actor's lefty parroting. But what is curious is that this is a reversal from his earlier comments on race, in which he dismissed race as being a major part of American culture. Wonder why the change?
ReplyDeleteAli Akbar heard that Larry Elder was going to read and discuss his letter this morning, so he called in. Good interview. He said that they weren't going after people like that congressman, because there are groups that are doing it. The focus is on Freeman because he represents a large number of people regarding the Tea Party.
