Cardinals win the World Series

Congratulations to the red birds on their series victory. The sixth game ranks as one of the most exciting postseason exhibitions of all time.

Much as I wanted to see the Rangers get their first World Series rings, I've always liked the redbirds, too! No down side to this one for me!

Back on the 17th of September I posted this comment: "Doesn't look like the Cards are gonna make it this year, so good luck Tigers."

It's a crazy game sometimes.

Don't feel too bad about the Tigers, Paco. They had a great year....they eliminated those pinstripe peckerheads from the playoffs!

Yes, there's always that.

Awwwww. I'm a Cardinals fan of almost 60 years [so I remember some pretty rough years, too], and as much as I enjoyed this Series, I truly felt bad for the Rangers. They played hard and they play the right way. It's unfortunate one team had to lose.

Game 6 was awesome. It sums up the basics of baseball: "You can't run out the clock in baseball." "It ain't over 'til it's over" to quote a sage.

A couple of weeks back I said I'd hang in there with them, from experience, and it paid off.

And I live very close to Detroit and have enjoyed their season very much, too.

Looking forward to next season.

WV: lesslip -- the Ranger lesslip the World Series from their grip.
