Happy Halloween!

I hope we've got enough candy here at the Paco Command Center for the trick-or-treaters. Mrs. Paco bought several bags of chocolate bars and M&Ms last week, and there's been some, er, mysterious inventory shrinkage.

As for that "inventory shrinkage"....Paco the Detective needs to get on the ball!

He can start by weighing Mabel. I realize that dogs shouldn't each chocolate, but perhaps her metabolism is a bit different, eh?

I just hope there's enough fallen leaves to bury the bear traps sufficiently...

I just - finally - got some treats to hand out. I had Skittles & Starburst already, but they're for my Pixie...yes, really, they are!

So, I supplemented today with some snack size packs of oreos. I love Oreos, so if the turnout is as tiny as it was last year, so much the better!

Happy Halloween all!

We always used to buy two five-pound bags of candy, because until recent years, this was Fertility Acres, and we usually didn't have any left at the end of trick-or-treating. The numbers have been falling off lately, though, so we've cut back, and still have some leftover. Bad for us.

Paco, if Mrs. P takes a break and returns with a scent of caramel chocolate and peanuts...well, I'm just saying. It might not be Mabel, but on-the-other hand she could be paid off.

Living in a gated building certainly deprives the little ones of extra goodies, and we the enjoyment of costumed kiddies. Alas, the only time we get to see them is on the way home from work as we dodge princesses, ninjas, zombies, Thors, and most of the Justice League. Although Friday night was a Norman Rockwell moment as I passed a family with the daddy dressed as a king, the mommy his queen, and the tiny daughter as a princess. Things that make me smile.
