The road to hell peace is paved with good intentions

Hillary Clinton and Leon Panetta continue trying to inflict their intransigent stupidity on Israel, as Wes Pruden points out in this article:
“I believe security is dependent on a strong military,” Mr. Panetta says, “but it is also dependent on strong diplomacy. Unfortunately, over the past year we’ve seen Israel’s isolation from its traditional security partners in the region grow.” He left unsaid where Israel and the rest of us can find such “strong diplomacy.”

This bogus moral equivalence comports neatly with the traditional liberal convenience of blaming the victim. Mr. Panetta wants Israel to “reach out,” to “mend fences,” to walk the second mile, to forgive and forget, and maybe even buy the world a Diet Coke.
Update: The magic hat meets the magic turbans!

Hillary Clinton's performance as Secretary of State so far reconfirms my conviction that she should not try to primary Barack Obama. She might win, and God knows, we don't need her as president, after four years of him.

Israel has 'traditional security partners' in the region? Who would that be - USS George H.W. Bush Battle Group?

What a maroon...it frightens me sometimes, that with only a high-school diploma and a continuing degree from the School of Hard Knocks, I'm twice as 'educated' and 10 times as wise as Panetta and most of the rest of these buffoons.

Really scary.

Wouldn't argue with that, KC, wouldn't argue with that at all.

The reason they have lost their tradtional partners in the region is Obama withdrawing said Battle Group and letting the progressive Pali Battle Group sail into port.

Might raise that to four times as educated and twenty times times as wise though.

Wouldn't that be a Coke Zero?

Those like Panetta always want the Israelis to give. What about the Arabs? What does he expect them to give? Like his boss Obama, Panetta has the same affliction...lieing.

Israel should check its' back. It is a sure bet that John planted a knife there, next to the MB's. No one should believe one word of what the Muslim Brotherhood states. Israel should stock up on more weapons.

Talking to Kerry must have given the Ikhwan Muslimi people a good laugh.

Israel has repeatedly taken risks for peace. In 2005 Iasrael pulled out of Gaza, "ending the occupation" which is what all the twits have been demanding for years. So what happened? Continual rocket and terror attacks from Gaza against Israelis. It was very convenient for Hamas that the Israelis built a school in Sderot; it gave them their aiming point.

No more risks on Israel's part. If the Arabs want peace all they have to do is come to the table and negotiate a reasonable settlement. They refuse to do that. All those calling for Israel to "take risks for peace" or make concessions to the Palis, aside from the fact that they have already do both for years with no positive result, overlook the FACT that the Arabs regard Tel Aviv as an "illegal" "settlement" and want to do to it what they did to those greenhouses in Gaza.

The aim of the Arabs (and other Muslims) is the destruction of Israel and the genocide of its Jewish inhabitants. If Panetta and Hillary don't understand this, then they understand nothing.
