The Democrats' tasteful, dignified outreach to Jewish donors

Stacy McCain has the details.

You know, I could have told them this was a bad idea. During the early phase of my presidential candidacy, I tried to do outreach to my fellow Catholics with a catchy slogan; however, "Cough it up, mackerel snatchers!" earned me zero donations and a stern letter from the Holy See.

The high road: always take it.

Holy Mackerel, Pacoman. I do remember olden times queuing at the fish 'n chip shop on Fridays.

The Dems are also running a pogrom against a guy called Zimmerman. It's surely got to cost them some votes.

You got off easy. Ever smelled a basket of coughed-up mackerel? That's why there ain't a long line for penguin-feeder jobs once the applicants get a whiff.

And it's "Mackerel Snappers", not snatchers. Geeze, get your disparaging comments right at least.

What's that? "What do they call Baptists?" you ask?

Wet, mostly.

Baptists are usually called "Bible thumpers". Pentacostals are called "holy rollers". FYI.

I'd tell you what Democrats are called, but you probably already know, and this is a family-friendly blog.

And the snake-handlers are generally called "crazy"...

Deborah Leigh said...Instead of calling the girls "Donkey girls", how about "Jennies". Anyone notice the one on the left pushing her nose up? What is she inferring?

So what are the Muslims called? How about the Presbyterians, Episcopalians, Methodists, Unitarians, Hindus, and the rest? Everybody has to get a trophy.

mojo: "Mackerel snatchers" is also correct, though not as common as "mackeral snappers" ("snatchers" has been in use since at least the 19th century); also, some of my non-Catholic friends and relatives in Carolina occasionally tease me with it (they always use "snatchers", not "snappers").

Deborah: God botherers.

The passion of the American Jews for the Jackass Party shows that the belief that my fellow tribesmen and tribeswwomen generally have a higher average IQ than the rest of the population is a myth.
