Congratulations to Governor Scott Walker, who won a tough recall election tonight.
Sometimes, the extent of the public's commitment to do the right thing does trump union intransigence and voter fraud.
Say, doesn't this make Scott Walker sort of like the Margaret Thatcher of Wisconsin? I know, I know. Thatcher faced off against trade unions, whereas Walker defied the public employee unions, but still...

I'm a natural pessimist, so I must throw in the obligatory warning to not get cocky. Still, this development is highly encouraging. We might put the brakes on before we go over the cliff, after all.
