Walker wins!

Congratulations to Governor Scott Walker, who won a tough recall election tonight.

Sometimes, the extent of the public's commitment to do the right thing does trump union intransigence and voter fraud.

Say, doesn't this make Scott Walker sort of like the Margaret Thatcher of Wisconsin? I know, I know. Thatcher faced off against trade unions, whereas Walker defied the public employee unions, but still...

Update: Thomas Grier scoffs at the Democrat spin.

Yay! And the other GOP officials under recall won as well -- the LT GOV, and 4 senators.

HAW!

I'm a natural pessimist, so I must throw in the obligatory warning to not get cocky. Still, this development is highly encouraging. We might put the brakes on before we go over the cliff, after all.

Special Ed is on suicide watch, Madcow is weeping uncontrollably and, in Chicago, the Rahmfather and the Daley boys laugh and laugh...

There are a few Lefties that are screaming to wait a minute. Lanny Davis, I think. They prove Ron White right, "You can't fix stupid".
