If it's a secret order...

...how come I know about it?
President Barack Obama has signed a secret order authorizing U.S. support for rebels seeking to depose Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his government, U.S. sources familiar with the matter said.

Obama's order, approved earlier this year and known as an intelligence "finding," broadly permits the CIA and other U.S. agencies to provide support that could help the rebels oust Assad.
I'm not saying it's a bad idea; I just hope this isn't another one of those politically-motivated leaks (the same way, whenever I watch Old Yeller, I keep hoping the dog doesn't die).

Apparently the Iranians are now threatening to attack the Saudis if Assad falls.

Sheesh. They keep using that word "secret". I do not think that it means what they think it means.

What good are secret orders that might make the President look good to voters if he can't tell people about them?
