America throws itself under the bus

Common sense breached, freedom leeched, tipping point reached.

Looks like it’s time for Paco’s open letter to his fellow citizens
Hi, America. Are you insane?

You have just imposed the third term of Jimmy Carter on this formerly great nation. Why?

No, really, why? You have returned to office the most ignorant, ideologically hidebound and most myopic president of modern times. I take it, then, that you’re ok with unemployment in the 8% range, a stagnant economy, a foreign policy based on Emily Post’s book of etiquette, and a cavalier attitude toward the Constitution?

You black people (and white, too, for that matter) who voted for this guy due to his melanin content; you’re fine with record unemployment among African Americans as long as your totem is the right color?

You starry-eyed liberals who continue to harbor the illusion, despite an endless series of pistol-whippings by reality, that big government is going to usher in a golden age of equality and fairness and kumbaya communitarian love; you don’t see – you really don’t see – that the kind of leveling you desire will require state-sponsored oppression, and probably violence, on a massive scale?

You investment fat cats and Wall Street Bankers; you believe you can negotiate the kind of sweetheart deals that will lift you above the ruin your man is inflicting on the rest of the country while keeping your own wealth secure. Want to gamble that you’re somehow luckier than every other “savvy” moneybags throughout history who thought (incorrectly) that the crocodile would be satiated when his turn came? I’ll take that bet!

You parasites who think the world owes you a living; what are you going to do when you finally figure out that the “world” was really just the taxpayers, and they’re all tapped out?

Oh, and how about Benghazi? The abandonment of brave American citizens to the jihadists – two of them working a machine gun that cut down some 60 of the attackers before they themselves were killed – represents a more accurate and potent symbol of this administration’s foreign policy than the takedown of al-Qaeda’s chairman emeritus. But, hey, most of you aren’t diplomats, so it’s no big deal, right?

You people have rejected the Judeo-Christian concept of God and have now placed your faith in a herd of spindly sacred cows and a tin-horn trail boss who are all blithely heading for a precipice. I may never be able to get my country back, the America based on the principles of individual liberty and self-reliance. But I promise you this, Obamaphiles: you’re never going to get the America you want. The money and the patience of what’s left of the productive class are going to run out while your plans for Utopia are still on the drawing board. And when the economic and social collapse comes, you’re going to find that the only people who are prepared for the ensuing chaos are (1) your political enemies, and (2) the mass of common criminals whose rapacity won’t be in the slightest degree palliated by your progressive social views.

And in the end, it will all be for nothing. The ascendancy of a collectivist state, even with an invaluable assist from its kapos in the media, cannot permanently turn a human society into an ant hill. Socialism is irrational at its core, and is therefore as doomed to failure as a submarine welded together out of colanders.

Savor your victory while you can, because ultimately you’re going to find it remarkably indigestible.
Update: Friend and commenter JeffS has a link to an excellent post-election Chris Muir cartoon. We are now the guerrillas.

  1. Is this Voter fraud?

Hope you can see this Paco. Sorry to hear the news.

  2. No doubt there was plenty. But there was not enough (I don't believe) to explain the end result. We are simply a nation hopelessly divided.

  3. Spot on, Paco. These Bolsheviks couldn't organize an orgy in an whore house the day the fleet returns to port.

There's a very slim chance (about 5%, in my estimate), that the votes in OH and WI will come out in Romney's favor. But FL....doubtful. All in all, things do not look good.

America had a nice run, but it's clear all great civilizations must eventually fall, and usually by their own hand.

What comes next will not be America.

  4. PS: I'll be linking to this letter on Facebook. Because it needs to be said.

  5. Good summary of the issues Paco.
Disappointing result, even though I did not have very high hopes for Romney either but at least he understands finance and smaller business.

To the Founders, to everyone who gave us this exceptional nation, to President Reagan, I apologize. Be assured that I will continue to fight.

  7. I have never been as ashamed of my country as I am right now.

  8. Commiserations from Oz.

Its taken generations of vote buying and importing to reach this point, time to invest in gun manufacturers and cool-aid dispensers...

  10. Incredible. We know what we will get for the next four years. More, much more, of the same.

Obama will become even more Imperious, ruling by executive fiat and federal regulations. There will be no budget. Debt will grow even more. There will be no new investment. The fiscal cliff will be arrived at.

  12. Oh well, the Constitution was nice, while it lasted.

  13. Oh thank you, sir, may I have another(four)!

  14. I'm heartbroken this morning. But I think we're going to be enjoying the taste of schadenfreude for the next four years.

  15. I'm sure the heck not. The battle for 2014 starts now. If we can't claw this back in that election there is no next four years. ObamaCare will be fully entrenched, our military will be fully devestated, Islamic terrorist states will be fully implemented and our voter system will be fully compromised.

  16. Not to mention, the SCOTUS will be lost for as long as it takes to render freedom and liberty null and void.

  17. Deborah Leigh said ...Merilyn, the election was rife with problems. Disenfranchisement of the military, Republican registration forms destroyed, the New Black Panthers take over
of one or two polling places, and the machine problems. Florida is going to be recounted, but it means little since Romney conceeded.

Republicans held the House, and the Democrats no longer have a super majority in the Senate. Ted Cruz won in the Senate which is a bright spot.

It is probably wishful thinking, but I'm hoping that Obama will be brought up on charges of high crimes and misdemeanors for Libya, which would end his term.

    Keep praying, please.

  19. The press will never let this guy be impeached.

Besides, just sitting there and letting four Americans die is not an impeachable offense. Not fortifying our defenses in the area is not an impeachable offense. Telling lies to advance a narrative will not get him impeached. We wouldn't have any politicians left if we impeached liars.

The best we can hope for is to finally convince the American people that he is a feckless leader. That goes to the last hope for the Republic, the 2014 midterms. Wait until people see their utility bills in the next few years.

  20. Well said, Paco. I'm with you. We shall see if those who voted for Obama will suffer the most under his policies.

  22. Deborah Leigh said... Yojimbo, giving the order to stand down three times, refusing, to send requested assistance prior to and during an atrack, watching four Americans be murdered is, at the very least, dereliction of duty. He should be sent to prison, though death is deserved.

Investigation and charges need to be encouraged. McCain is leading the call for investigation. Bonner and McConnell need to step up,

There are some who believe that this shaping up to be bigger than Watergate.
