“There will be blood!”

Well, if there is, Democratic Rep. Doug Geiss, I hope a good portion of it winds up belonging to you and your union-thug allies.

Interesting times. At the national level, socialism, trade unionism and all the other “isms” that represent assaults against the liberty of the citizen are blossoming like a garden of carrion flowers; while, outside of the Beltway, Republicans in Wisconsin, and now Michigan – two historically liberal states - are aggressively engaging in the rollback of union privileges, and numerous other states are refusing to set up ObamaCare insurance exchanges. And even in Illinois, the cradle of Barack Obama’s political career, the state’s prohibition of concealed carry has been struck down (although this was done by a federal judge).

Perhaps we’re witnessing a resurgence of the federalist principle. Or maybe the country’s just become politically schizophrenic. Hard to tell.

Update: Some union troglodyte employs the, er, Socratic method in a discussion with conservative activist Steven Crowder.

Update II: Police are advised to be on the lookout for a guy who looks like Wally the Walrus in a baseball cap.

Even better...

Schizophrenic? Or bi-polar?

Do unions have a IQ cap, for members?

If it's high enough to measure...is that too high?

I won't be counting any chickens.

Nah. There will probably be some higher court that upholds the original ban.

I wouldn't live in Illinois on a bet.

I think the phrase is "overwhelmingly white"

the judge also stayed the judgment for 180 days to let the lawmakers orderly pass a legal structure. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to block any new laws and then convince a judge to continually stay the order to keep the status quo.

(conceal carry in Illinios had a close vote this year. I think it was 3 votes from passing but then would have faced a likely veto)

I also predict that even if they pass something then Chicago will go around arresting people who are legally carrying and charge them with something bogus like disturbing the peace. Because that's Chicago.

I was driving home listening to talk radio (Sean Hannity) yesterday afternoon, and couldn't believe what I was hearing. A woman was rather incoherently defending the unions (or perhaps she'd just had the Chrysler worker lunch of booze and pot). Did y'all know that if people have the right to work and NOT have money forcibly taken from their paychecks, it will destroy the unions?

If the benefits of being in the union are sooooo wonderful, why would anybody opt out*? (I suppose to not get beaten up by Tony the Walrus would be a valid reason to stay in for some.)

*I am in a right-to-work state and do not belong to a union.

That's what I pointed out. If what the unions have to offer is attractive enough to the workers, they'll join of their own free will.

If not, then the problem is with the unions, not the employers.

I pointed out to a very liberal colleague that the last group I saw that white was that picture of the Obama Chicago Campaign office staff.

And the union thugs also destroyed "Clyde's Hot Dogs" stand and called him racist names.
