They've finally found a use for electric cars. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, the "Deskla". (H/T: Mrs. Paco)
Update: Captain Heinrichs finds an even more interesting vehicle-to-furniture conversion.

I finally saw a Tesla S on the interstate a month or so ago. Not a bad looking car. Of course it was on a flatbed trailer, not actually moving under its' own power. Hey, at least it wasn't on fire.
ReplyDeleteNo. Just ... no.
ReplyDeleteDid they buy a Tesla and gut it? That would make for a damn expensive desk, and one with a gigantic "carbon footprint", to use the common cant.
ReplyDeleteUgly, too.
Deborah ..... About that carbon footprint that Mojo mentioned. How many trees would need to be planted? Where are all the trees that the Offsetters have supposedly planted? How many trees does it take to offset the production and act of planting a tree?
ReplyDeleteThe desk is a new take on uses for cars. I saw a restaurant on a show that had booths made from car bench seats. So the club's idea could be used for a internet cafe. If car chargers were added then we'd know where the grid guzzlers hang out.
Teslas are nice looking but II can think of many more ways to spend money. Paco has shown us a few great examples.
