March isn't coming in like a lion

This year it's coming in like a ravenous T-Rex. First we get yet another winter storm, then Doug the ferret crosses the River Jordan, then Mrs. Paco is diagnosed with both influenza AND pneumonia. Expecting frogs and locusts here at the Paco Command Center any day now.

Maybe you should let the Israelites go.

I'll mull it over.

Hang in there, Paco. And get well soon, Mrs. Paco!

RIP, Doug. Get well, Mrs. P.

You could always slaughter a lamb and paint the blood over your doorway, Paco. And have lamb chops for dinner.

Best wishes to Mrs. Paco.

Did you neighbor sell his house to Algore?

"Boils!? Really?"

Deborah... Get well soon, Mrs P!

Richard and I send our condolences. May Doug rest in peace. Potluck (Richard's cat of 21 years) went to Heaven last Sunday. Sad times for all of us

Not enough sacrifice to Gaia and the Climate gods, eh Paco? The Moche solution didn't work for the Moche in ancient what-is-now Peru. But it won't stop the greedy practioners. There is one upside. It stimulated the economy. Sales of shovels, snow blowers, rock salt, etc are up. Or was the upside given a dowside by trips to the ER, and police intervention from quarrels over newly shoveled parking spaces being stolen.

Don't understand the Ferret thing, but Veeshir's advice should seriously be considered.

I too am severely taxed this year - by the weather as well as the government. I will seek respite in Brazil.

Debprah... Robert, why go so far? The Hill Country of south Texas near San Antonio is aforrdable, friendly, and fun...plus english speaking. We met a couple who attest to it.

We'd live just outside of Hondo which is about 40 miles west of San Antonio. We're in the country where you wake to a rooster on the nearby farm, and marvel at the heavens at night. Y'all are welcome anytime!

May Madame Paco recover soon. Flu and pneumonia at the same time sounds awful. The bugs might at least have the decency to inflict themselves upon her one at a time.

The weird thing is she had shots for both.

Take good care of that pneumonia. I'm thinking Hondo is sounding better and better with Deb and co.

Get well soon.

Deborah... I don't take the flu shot for that very reason, Paco. It doesn't cover everything, just what they GUESS will be the worst. She's isn't in the hospital, is she? Each one of those is bad enough, but BOTH....!!

Deb: Had to take her to the emergency room last Sunday, but they pumped her full of antibiotics and she has been resting at home.

...she has been resting at home.

Attended by Nurse Paco.

Not to be confused with Nurse Ratched, I hope.

Get well, Mrs. Paco!

Deborah.... Well, at least she didn't have to go back. It's unimaginable that she wasn't admitted, given the double whammy. But I'm no doctor, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn. All our prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery!
