Walter Huston makes a marvelous Satan in the wonderful 1941 movie, The Devil and Daniel Webster.
You cannot out-Satan Claude Raines in "Angel on my Shoulder", pal. Or maybe DeNiro in "Angel Heart"...
ReplyDeleteIt all depends on the context. In mid-19th century New England, Claude Rains would have been miscast - too aristocratic. And DeNiro? Please.
