Wait, don’t tell me

I bet President Obama is “madder than hell” to have read in the newspapers that Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel ok’d the prisoner swap.

I guess that appearance with Bergdahl’s parents in the Rose Garden was just the preshizzle keeping a stiff upper lip and trying to put a good face on a decision made by somebody else that he secretly - very secretly – hated.

BTW, the Obama administration’s foreign policy successes just keep piling up. The city of Mosul in Iraq has been captured by Al-Qaeda forces.

  1. I watch with alarm as Obama deliberately encourages mass illegal immigration into the US and uses it as a political bludgeon against enemies and opponents.

He really wants a lot of new democrat voters and is creating a real crisis to get his way.

  2. And, tragically, he's getting a lot of assistance from establishment Republicans.

  3. Deborah.... His arm around Mrs. Bergdahl's waist helped the stiff...upper lip that is.

Hagel should have known the gig when he received the bus ticket.

  4. I guess that's why Hagel was front & center at that Rose Garden photo op.

  5. That's what loyalty to Obama gets you: space under the bus.

  6. It appears that in many Western countries, including our own, the elites have lost confidence in the people, so they are dissolving the people and electing a new one. There are apparently Labour Party memos from the early 70s in the UK proposing exactly that. I suspect that is what Obama and his consiglieri intend to do, with the help of the one percent and the dimbulb GOP Establishment.

The Communist German playwright Bertholt Brecht commented, in a poem, on the 1953 uprising by the East Germans, against the Commie toadies of Russia ruling them, thusly:

After the uprising of the 17th of June
The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee
    Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government
And could win it back only
    By redoubled efforts.

    Would it not be easier
In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?[62]

It is becoming impossible to satirize our contemporary world.
