Caught in the act

Something's been cropping my roses, and today I found out what it is...

Rosebud, here, has been walking around the neighborhood, bold as brass, at all hours of the day. Saw her later on in the early evening munching seeds at a bird feeder.

Deborah.... She has good taste. What better way to complete a salad than with roses and bird seed. The neighbor probably thought there was a ravenous squirrel.

I've heard that deer dislike mint. Perhaps a few planted around the roses will do it. Another purported remedy is human hair. It is placed in a bit of old nylon and tied on the bush. Good luck!

Looks like you need a predator.

Or that crazy cat lady up the street will try to tame it, and claim it as a pet.

The best cure for plant munching deer is a .30-06 bullet, or a 12 gage deer slug.

But I imagine that would irritate the neighbors, huh? So this might be more neighborly.

Where there are deer in the neighborhood, there will eventually be predators. And those are not picky about what they can catch and eat.

Rosebud is going to stand in the middle of the street and some nice lady in a Prius is going to swerve to miss her and kill 5 kids on the sidewalk.
