When a young man's fancy turns lightly to thoughts of throwing Molotov cocktails at the police...
I guess liberal immigration laws sounded like a good idea at the time.

"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Two words: live fire.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about that, myself. It's likely to come to that, one of these days.
ReplyDeleteI already commented on that site, and I believe the bloodshed, unwelcome as it is, is inevitable, because it's not longer just "civil unrest", it's actual street warfare. As much fun as we Americans have made of the French, I don't think they'll capitulate to this.
ReplyDeleteRebecca: I agree. Throughout history, the French have proved that they can be some tough SOBs when they want to be.
ReplyDeleteAs I once commented at Stacey's blog, deploy the Vickers!
ReplyDeletePaco, the French have allowed this behavior for over a decade. Remember the week's of burning cars. The police still refuse to enter parts of Paris that the Muzzies took control of.
ReplyDeleteRiots need to be quashed at the outset. Let the rioters know well ahead of the date that there will be no tolerance for threats/actions against police, and destruction of any property. It will include shooting on sight, starting with rubber bullets, and escalating to live rounds if the rioters as necessary. Inform them that all aid will cease.
Now that the "immigrants" have built walls around themselves, it is a perfect time to cut off all resources. No exit or entrance. No electricity. No aid. No communications.
The Dalai Lama said Germany took too many immigrants. Is popping Liberal heads a Buddhist thing? I like it.
You can look at the Zones of Special Concern, places where the writ of the French State does not run any more, where local officials like Maires must meet the local Imam or Qadi at the edge of the area, where the police go only in numbers the size of army platoons, in the light of Maoist Revolutionary Warfare. The Zones are "liberated areas" where the revolutionaries (the Islamist Muslims in this case) have taken over the government. I'd speculate that they are stockpiling smuggled arms there and training, as well as they can, young men to use them.
ReplyDeleteIf there is a Muslim uprising or if violence beaks out some other way, leading the French to resist Islamization by force, I think the resulting war will look like across between the war in Algeria and the suppression of the Paris Commune. It is by no means certain, I think, that the French State will win the war.
France should recruit more Foreign Legionnaires, from non-Muslim sources. They are likely to need lots.
