I'm not an athlete myself...

...but I do admire great athletic accomplishment:
Defending champion Joey "Jaws" Chestnut chomped down a record 74 franks and buns Wednesday to win his 11th title at the annual Nathan’s Famous July Fourth hot dog eating contest.

Wow. My problem is, those never look like fun. In fact, when I see clips from those contests I have to fight my gag reflex.

I do recall some years ago (probably more like a decade) when the world champion in hot dog eating was a skinny Japanese guy who looked like he weighed 98 pounds.

I like eating and hot dogs, but not that much. Obviously, I don't possess the athletic mindset of a professional eater, but should look into acquiring it because their girth is....

That guy says he routinely gains 20 to 22 lbs all at once when he enters one of those contests. It's a miracle his heart doesn't explode.

Reading news coverage of this event, I'm wondering how many hot dogs did Brazil eat? Did anyone take a knee at the Super Cup Series? When is draft day, and who are the top prospects?

Beats binge-eating cockroaches, I guess.
