Sad story, except for the 8 beers.
Did the reporter really intend to juxtapose the chicken in the microwave with 'the authorities suspect foul play'?
I'm sure it was natural causes, namely a spider carried them both 50 miles into the bush.
The article struck me as a bit tongue in cheek; which struck me as a bit rough, considering a guy is missing and possibly murdered.
I'm surprised he didn't mention a country redneck(or "bogan" in Ozzie-speak) playing the banjo or didgeridoo on the front porch.
I reckon the author really did deliberately juxtapose the chicken in microwave with "the authorities suspect foul play".
The only reason the giant, twelve foot wide, funnel-web spider didn't carry off the chicken in the microwave as well, is that giant funnel-web spiders don't have opposable legs to open microwave ovens.
Yeah, it's the NYT, trying to glean comedy from a possible murder.
Classy, as always.
What about the dog?
