Yellow butterfly on Texas Star flower. These yellow butterflies, incidentally, are everywhere. Love to watch them.

So, how did the hurricane go? Was it as scary as riding the DC Metro? Any harrowing tales to tell the grandkids, someday?
Nothing very noteworthy, except for having to take the dog out in the wind and rain to do her business at 2 am. Power went out for 12 hours, but we have the generator, so, no problem. Very minimal damage in the neighborhood. I'd say we were pretty lucky. This is two hurricanes in two years, though. I've told Mrs. Paco, one more and we're heading for Arizona (still hoping for that double-wide trailer in the foothills of the Dragoon Mountains in Cochise County...maybe two double-wides, one for us and one for my collection of "Hummel figurines").
Glad to hear Dorian was minor for you! And, clearly, the butterflies.
Northwest Florida never got a drop of rain, hardly any wind, but two weeks so far of 90 + up degrees.
Great to hear that you, Mrs. Paco, Daisy, and the Hummels are fine. It was worrisome. Maybe Daisy could be trained to use a litter box for emergencies.
So that's where those yellow butterflies/moths got to. We didn't see many this year. A few years ago, there were thick waves of butterflies, Viceroys and others as they migrated south. Not this year.
You should have a backup plan to the Arizona plan, because of the folks fleeing the Left Coast. Is there enough packaging material to safeguard the Hummel? Hopefully it won't come to that, and you'll remain in the salubriousness.
