Public service announcement from Paco Enterprises

"How to use just one square of toilet paper".

H/T to friend, commenter and Good Samaritan, JeffS.

Update Ammo really IS flying off the shelf. I went online at Sportsman's Guide to order some replacement cartridges for what I shot up today at the range, and, fortunately, the stuff I needed - .45 long colt and .32 S&W long - wasn't the kind of stuff in big demand. The 9mm and .40 cal. ammo was pretty much gone.

And here's a very small upside to the present madness. We went to Walmart this morning, and, naturally, there's still no t.p. to be had, but there was also no wholewheat bread. Now, Mrs. Paco has had me on wholewheat bread for decades, and I like it, but today, there was nothing but Merita white bread. Oh, joy in the morning! When I used to stay with my grandmother as a kid for a few weeks every summer, this is the bread we toasted for breakfast. Then we spread grandma's homemade apple or grape jelly on it. Nothing better than toasted white bread with jelly (except for bacon or ham on yeast rolls - and granny had those, too!) So, today, we made the sacrifice and picked up a couple of loaves of Merita (I can almost smell that bread toasting tomorrow morning!)

Anything to help out my friends!

It's obvious Big Wood-pulp is behind all this: 'How can we sell more TP?' 'I know. We will genetically engineer a slightly more dangerous form of 'flu ... and people will buy lots more TP!'.

'Let's get the Evil Scientists on to it right away!'

Bruce: I'm sure you're right. I think the same thing applies to Big Ammo and Big Peanut Butter.

Brown bread sucks. Was at the indoor range(20mph wind and rain) this morning and they had a sign up limiting ammo purchases. They specialize in case lots and didn't have any stacked around store like usual. I asked the guys about it and they said they still had pretty much everything but it was flying off the shelves. Shutting the ski resort down is costing me lots of ammo. Tomorrow is the only day for few that the wind will drop to 5 mph so it looks like 200 and 300 yards tomorrow.

Fortunately, I've been buying ammo pretty steadily for years, so I've got ammo cans full of the stuff - many calibers - in the bonus room upstairs.

My range is outdoors, only, and it's pretty rough looking; however, annual members get their own key to the gate and can shoot all day long. Still, it would be nice if there were an indoor range handy for cold, wet days.

If you don't mind my asking, what will you be shooting?

I shot 2 22s, a Marlin 60 and a Heritage Rough Rider 6.5 in revolver. A Kimber ultra carry 2 and a Ruger Security-9 and my new toy(just put it together a couple of weeks ago) A 10.5 in. AR in 762x39. I just put 4x scopes on the rifles and am going to work on shooting unsupported at up to 100 yards as I usually shoot long AR's supported from the bench. Hehe, I might have a little ammo myself, I'll have to check.

Just dropped by the Palmetto State Armory website. They have a notice up, we're so busy it'll take a little longer. Read over at Gateway that libs are calling gun dealers in a panic and are totally surprised that they can't have a gun shipped to their house.

Everything they know about about gun laws they learned on Law & Order.
Too bad gun shows are probably canceled. It would be funny watching lefties look for machine guns, ar-47s and hand grenades.

Dropped by my reloading bullets site Everglade Ammo (they're the best) they're all out of .308 and only have .223 in 52 and 62 gr. The industry has had so many huge surges in the last couple of years that they have it down pat.

I find it positively hilarious that some liberals have fallen for their own propaganda, and are surprised that they can't just have a gun shipped to their house (well, under some circumstances they could, but let's not tell them about c&r licenses; then the available supply of Mosin-Nagants and K98 Mausers will dry up).

I just bought the last packet of red lentils at the grocers. I didn't have to fight anyone, but it felt like a triumph all the same.

Veeshir,

For the briefest of moments, I thought I saw "p-47s", and was thinking, "Well, that might discourage looters, pulling up my driveway and seeing a Thunderbolt with eight M-2 Brownings pointin' at 'em".

Kinda hard to aim that P-47 whilst it's sitting on the ground, Spiny. I'd prefer a quad 50, myself.

I need to reload myself -- I am running low on 5.56mm, and 3 Gun is coming up! I hope, anywho. We'll see how the COVID-19 messes with things.

Hot off the Perthnow website.

Just weeks after he donated his prized Baggy Green cap for bushfire relief funding, the former Test cricketer has announced his gin company is halting production to produce hand sanitiser for WA hospitals.

Not just a sportsman, but a damned good sport too.

Fantastic,on and off the pitch!

Too bad he can't make gin, and hand sanitizer. A good cocktail such as a gin fizz would come in handy these days.

We switched to wheat bread and whole grain breads years ago (right about the time our betters were claiming white bread would kill us all). Now I'm wondering. Did they lie to us like they have about everything else all along? Is white bread really good for us?

Lift the tailwheel up on a motorized dolly and turn it any which way you choose.

(It was intended as a joke, actually. My sense of humor has never batted 1.000, though. More of a "Mendoza Line" thing.)

My plan for any lottery winnings is a quad-mount for ma deuces, now I have to include a P-47, or a P-51 of course.

Right after getting my 105.
