Sincere question

So, why did Tulsi Gabbard never get traction in the Democratic presidential nomination process? She's a liberal, but not a commie like Bernie nor an irascible school marm like Warren nor a corrupt mediocrity like Biden. Not a goofy slob like Klobuchar, not a cardboard cut-out like Buttigieg. Not a billionaire blowhard with no campaign skills like Bloomberg. Her politics are beyond the pale for me, but she's not a sociopath and she's physically attractive, to boot - plus, a veteran. My guess is, she didn't appeal to the imbecile socialist voters, which now makes up an ominous percentage of the Democratic electorate, and the Donk establishment figured that she didn't have the "experience" or recognition among major Democratic voting blocs (and low information voters) to go head to head with Trump. What says the Comment Academy?

In addition to all that, I think the Democrats are afraid Gabbard wouldn't toe the party line if it came up against what she thinks is right. Also, being a veteran (which they don't respect), she doesn't fit the lefty narrative of feminine oppression.

She's not a Dem establishment type.
They have a greater stranglehold on power than the GOP establishment types did before Trump.

She needed the media to talk her up, all her advertising was paid for.
Trump and favored Dems get free advertising from our fine, media betters.

To lyingly fake news at (negatively) and to lyingly fake news at (positively), respectively.

Rebecca's right, she's not a 'team player' in their books.

Agree with RebeccaH, but think the fact Gabbard is a veteran is what offended Democrats most.

Paradoxically, I think she may have been the Democrat's best hope for defeating Trump. Her politics are definitely Left but more moderate so she could have attracted Independent voters. Also, female, attractive, a veteran, and clear thinking and articulate - more qualities that would attract those middle voters.

Dems are dopes. Makes sense to me that the power elite in the Democrat party decided they couldn't defeat Trump, with anyone, so they put up the person whose loss would do the least damage to the Party.

Yep, Tulsi is a better choice for the donks. If they weren’t bats**t crazy, that is.
