Most of the old commercials have an underlying current of class, even the funny ones.

These days, those sort of commercials are the exception, not the rule. Which is why I routinely deploy the mute button during the infrequent occasions that I watch TV.

The thing I liked about the commercial (aside from the cool beat) is that it showed the flip side of the hippie/beach movie/biker side of the 1960s. There's an element of cool sophistication and simple but elegant fashion (the men are smoking cheap cigars, sadly, but what can you do?)
