Which I'm sure he would have done even without the recent avalanche of negative publicity
The FBI investigating itself? I figure it'll be all fair and aboveboard. I just hope, for appearances sake, they get an independent investigator who's above reproach. I hear Bob Mueller is free.
No repercussions. Remember that. Someone will be forced to retire early, with full pension, with a promotion and raise as they go out the door.

Yeah, Mueller's available, and, aside from attending fundraisers for Biden, I hear Andrew Weismann has plenty of time on his hands.
Relatedly, Clarence Thomas must be gritting his teeth. That's one of the attitudes that got him riled up in that movie.
