Yes and the true history of marriage is the atrocities Sen Markey commits against his wife. Doesn't he know he's such a patriarchal bully that he should just keep silent and atone for his sins?
While the native American population faired badly as North America (all of it, including Canada) was settled and developed, very little few of the changes introduced after the discovery of the New World were actually new. Some diseases, definitely. War, famine, slavery, and assorted vices .... not so much. Magnitude, sometimes. Genocide ... ... arguable on a local or regional level, but not by national policy.
You have to read unbiased histories to get the flavor of the brutality common in those generations.
But Thanksgiving never was associated with that. And the attempts to link this holiday to that brutality are despicable.
Which makes white Americans incompetent at genocide, I suppose.
Or else it makes Markey a moron. Hmmm...
