ReplyDeleteI don't recall seeing reports of this major advance in beer can technology when I was young, but I do remember when they came out with ring tabs, making the can opener (for beer, anyway) obsolete.
ReplyDeleteI've had to coach the younger generation on how to use can openers, both the beer/soda can and pocket knife versions.
ReplyDeleteJeffS: One of my favorite gun channel guys, George Jones, has a whole video showing the history and use of various can openers. Turned out to be quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's an interesting video indeed. I didn't know about the British can opener, I am happy to say. I much prefer my P38 or P51. Or my Swiss Army knife.
