  1. I have the impression that I've heard this music before, in a black and white movie where the damsel in distress in forced to dance a ballroom dance with the villain just before the hero swings off a balcony on a chandelier and leaps down to rescue her. Am I wrong?

  2. According to wiki, Masquerade was composed as incidental music for a play of the same name written by Mikhail Lermontov. I don't recall ever hearing it in the soundtrack of a movie, but there's a giant heap of movies I haven't seen.
