"Washington, DC, Cardinal Gregory Cancels Annual Pro-Life Youth Rally"
Over the years, Cardinal Gregory has taken a conciliatory approach to pro-abortion Catholics.
In November 2020, Gregory declared he would not deny Holy Communion to Joe Biden, continuing the practice established by former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick of offering Communion to pro-abortion politicians.
The following year, the cardinal reiterated his position, insisting bishops are “not there as police, we’re there as pastors.”
Gregory also invited Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to speak from the pulpit in his own cathedral during the funeral of journalist and author Cokie Roberts, despite Pelosi’s well-known support for abortion on demand.
The old rhetorical question - "Is the Pope Catholic?" - implied that a thing was emphatically true. Guess that's no longer a rhetorical question, with respect to the Pope and some of his hierarchy. This attitude of trying to win people over by brushing off the faithful is part and parcel of woke Catholicism's attempt to cast Jesus Christ as merely the Chairman (emeritus) of the Christian Social Justice Club. Tiresome - and, in the end, nothing short of apostasy.
Are bears Catholic?
ReplyDeleteDoes the Pope sh!t in the woods?
Haw! I think bears are, in reality, non-denominational, and the Pope's facilities are a bit more elegant.
ReplyDeleteThe answer to the question on whether or not the Pope is Catholic is: Not anymore.
ReplyDeleteThere's a very basic reason for that, Anonymous: one cannot be a Catholic and Communist.
