It's a win for everybody this year! The nice folks get what they want, and the naughty ones get a lump of coal, which should come in pretty handy about now.
Warmest regards from the staff of the Paco Command Center to all readers and commenters; your patronage is much appreciated!
And to jazz up your day, here's 11-year-old boogie-woogie prodigy Frank Isaac "Sugar Chile" Robinson with the "Christmas Boogie".
Fondly wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas! We raise a glass to the Founder in recognition of creating a place for us to congregate, and all the work he puts in. And to Mrs. Paco for pitching in. Oh, and let us not forget Daisy, who fulfills her position in exemplary fashion. Give her the bone and the meat that came with it.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all the Pacotistas! May your grog be warming and your feast be filling! Slainte!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all of the Pacotistas!!
ReplyDeleteEverybody drop by later. We're going to be observing that old southern tradition of burning the Y'all log.
ReplyDeleteYEE HAW!!
DeleteMele Kalikimaka a hauʻoli makahiki hou from central New Mexico
ReplyDeleteTamales with pineapple alongside pig roasted ala luau style or whatever you call it in your neck of the woods. But what to do with poi, and the Hatch chilies.
DeleteMele Kalikimaka!
Yes a Happy Christmas from Sydney region, where it's already 'Boxing Day', which I guess follows because of the Airing of Grievances.
ReplyDeleteTemperature is up near 90 degrees F, which is normal for this time of year.
We're freezing while you're sweltering. Whether heaters or air conditioners, our electric bills will rise. Happy Boxing Day!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all the Pocoites. I hope everyone has a happy time and a painless recovery. As Bruce said it is hot down Sydney way, so much so that I just saw the dog chasing the cat and it is so hot they were both walking.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to the Paconites.
ReplyDeleteSorry you're freezing.
In the abstract sense, I haven't seen snow in 12 years so I forget what it's like.
Go up to Flag (aka Flagstaff for the new snow birds) or somewhere on the Mogollon Rim.
DeleteI do that in the summer, when there's no snow.
DeleteNot seeing it for 12 years is a choice.
The Rim is the coolest view, a massive wall going straight up. I almost crash every time i come around a curve and there it is.
Aloha Deborah,
ReplyDeleteHatch chilies go with everything. Poi, not so much.
My other half vetoed plans for moving to Kona when we had the chance and now I'm stuck in New Mexico and she's moved on to The Casa Grande in the Sky. Such is life.
My sympathies about your wife.
DeleteHatch chilies make things better. I'll bet any meat, poultry, or fish with a Hatch chili sauce would be good with poi. But it's just a guess.
If you want lava fields, New Mexico has some. I visited a very dramatic area years ago. I know you're talking about Kona, but like the rest of Hawaii, it is expensive.
I could use some of that fine Aussie heat right about now!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't we all.
